Fence repair for Flagstaff weather
Even a well-built fence takes damage over time in the high country. Spring winds push on solid panels, heavy snow piles against the boards, freezing ground can lift and loosen posts, and monsoon storms bring down branches. We repair and maintain all types of fences, and we can often fix the damaged section without replacing the whole fence.
Common fence repairs
- Leaning or loose posts from wind, frost heave or rot at the base
- Broken, warped or missing boards on wood fences
- Cracked or loose vinyl panels and caps
- Bent rails and posts on chain link and metal fences, and loose or torn mesh
- Storm and impact damage from falling trees, vehicles or snow removal
- Sagging gates, hinges and latches (see gate repair)
Repair or replace?
If the posts are sound, most fences can be repaired section by section. If many posts are rotted or the fence is near the end of its life, replacing it can cost less over time. We look at the whole fence and explain your options.

Matching what you have
We match new boards, panels and hardware to your existing fence as closely as we can so the repair blends in. With wood, new boards can be stained to help them sit alongside weathered ones.
Prevent the next repair
- Keep snow, soil and mulch from piling against the bottom of a wood fence
- Re-seal or re-stain wood every few years
- Tighten loose hardware and check gate hinges each spring
- Trim branches that hang over the fence line
