Chain link fencing for homes, acreage and businesses
Chain link is a practical choice when you need a secure barrier at a fair price. It is a quick, cost-effective way to section off part of a property, and it works on everything from small backyards to large lots outside town. Because you can see through it, it keeps mountain views open and lets you keep an eye on kids and pets.
Popular uses
- Backyards and dog runs that keep pets safely contained
- Acreage and property lines on larger lots
- Gardens that need protection from rabbits, deer and elk
- Sports courts, playgrounds and fields
- Commercial lots and job sites that need security fast
Galvanized or black vinyl-coated
Standard galvanized chain link is the most economical option. Black vinyl-coated chain link costs a little more, adds another layer of protection and blends quietly into pines, rock and high-desert landscaping. Privacy slats can be added if you want to block the view.
How chain link is installed
A chain link fence has two kinds of posts: terminal posts at the ends, corners and gate openings, and line posts in between. The terminal posts carry the tension of the fabric, so they have to be set solidly. Then the top rail goes on, the mesh is stretched tight and tied off, and the gates are hung and adjusted.
Ground conditions matter around Flagstaff. Rocky soil and volcanic cinders make digging slower, and we account for that when we quote your project.
Low maintenance, long life
Chain link never needs painting or staining. Wind passes through the mesh far more easily than through a solid fence, and coated wire resists rust for years. A walk along the fence each spring to check ties, tension and gate hardware is usually all it needs.
